Song of Songs is a love story between a king and a shulamite woman. It is a picture of Christ as the king seeking a close, intimate relationship with His believer. “Let him kiss me with the kisses of his mouth,” starts the book. It proceeds through stages of deepening experience in the relationship. They meet and greatly admire one another. She’s comfortable in the relationship, but he is out leaping on the hills. She seeks him further and eventually finds him again. Their relationship deepens and they enjoy the produce, and victory, and security of their love relationship.
