Isaiah is the New Testament Old Testament book. He prophesies for about 65 years from king Uzziah through king Hezekiah. Isaiah’s prophecies describe Christ like no other book. He speaks of the Messiah as the Branch of Jehovah and Fruit of the earth. He foretells that the virgin will have a son, and that the government will be on the shoulders of the child born to us. He shows Christ as the cornerstone, and further describes how the stroke that was due us fell on Him. He was wounded for our transgressions. In the end, Isaiah describes how Jews and gentiles will be together as God’s people in the New Jerusalem in the new heaven and new earth.
