Ecclesiastes is the record of king Solomon exploring life for meaning. He set his heart to experience earthly things like gardens, many women, wealth, fame and concludes with a recurring theme “vanity of vanities.” He observes others and concludes the same for all of life other than fearing God. His conclusion is to enjoy life now but don’t seek your meaning in the life now. Instead fear God before your time on this earth expires.
