Daniel was full of the Spirit as he interpreted Nebuchadnezzar’s dream

Nebuchadnezzar dreamt another dream and called Daniel for its interpretation

Daniel 4:4–5
4 “I, Nebuchadnezzar, was at ease in my house and flourishing in my palace. 5 “I saw a dream and it made me fearful; and these fantasies as I lay on my bed and the visions in my mind kept alarming me.

Daniel 4:8–9
8 “But finally Daniel came in before me, whose name is Belteshazzar according to the name of my god, and in whom is a spirit of the holy gods; and I related the dream to him, saying, 9 ‘O Belteshazzar, chief of the magicians, since I know that a spirit of the holy gods is in you and no mystery baffles you, tell me the visions of my dream which I have seen, along with its interpretation.

Daniel saw the world for what it was and that heaven rules

Daniel 4:25–26
25 that you be driven away from mankind and your dwelling place be with the beasts of the field, and you be given grass to eat like cattle and be drenched with the dew of heaven; and seven periods of time will pass over you, until you recognize that the Most High is ruler over the realm of mankind and bestows it on whomever He wishes. 26 ‘And in that it was commanded to leave the stump with the roots of the tree, your kingdom will be assured to you after you recognize that it is Heaven that rules.

Daniel is a person “in whom is a spirit of the holy gods”

Daniel 4:8
“But finally Daniel came in before me, whose name is Belteshazzar according to the name of my god, and in whom is a spirit of the holy gods; and I related the dream to him, saying…”

New Testament Examples of the Spirit and our spirit

We have a human spirit that is united and works with the Holy Spirit

1 Thessalonians 5:23
Now may the God of peace Himself sanctify you entirely; and may your spirit and soul and body be preserved complete, without blame at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Romans 8:16
The Spirit Himself testifies with our spirit that we are children of God

1 Corinthians 6:17
But the one who joins himself to the Lord is one spirit with Him.

The Spirit reveals to us the riches of God and of Christ

1 Corinthians 2:9–10
9 but just as it is written, “Things which eye has not seen and ear has not heard, And which have not entered the heart of man, All that God has prepared for those who love Him.” 10 For to us God revealed them through the Spirit; for the Spirit searches all things, even the depths of God.

John 16:13–15
13 “But when He, the Spirit of truth, comes, He will guide you into all the truth; for He will not speak on His own initiative, but whatever He hears, He will speak; and He will disclose to you what is to come. 14 “He will glorify Me, for He will take of Mine and will disclose it to you. 15 “All things that the Father has are Mine; therefore I said that He takes of Mine and will disclose it to you.

We must be filled in Spirit, live in Spirit and walk in Spirit

Ephesians 5:18
And do not get drunk with wine, for that is dissipation, but be filled with the Spirit

Galatians 5:25
If we live by the Spirit, let us also keep in step with the Spirit.
