Just Taste and See

By: B. B.; R. C.; B. C.; E. L.; T. Y.; R. Y.

1.
Just taste and see that the Lord is good;
Just taste and see that the Lord is good.
He’s good for you, as He is for me;
So whatever you do, just taste and see.

2.
Just call, “O Lord” – He’ll change your life;
Just call, “O Lord” – He’ll change your life.
Amazing grace He will afford
If in every place you call “O Lord.”

3.
You’ll feel real love coming into your heart;
You’ll feel real love coming into your heart.
You’ll sense a flow from God above;
And you will know you’ve found real love.

4.
So praise the Lord for His life in you;
Yes praise the Lord for His life in you.
Something of Christ He has outpoured
Into your life; so, praise the Lord!

Psalm 34 (Taste and See)

Shane & Shane

1.
I sought the Lord and He answered me
And delivered me from every fear.

2.
Those who look on Him are radiant,
They’ll never be ashamed,
They’ll never be ashamed.

3.
This poor man cried and the Lord heard me
And saved me from my enemies.

4.
The Son of God surrounds His saints,
He will deliver them,
He will deliver them.

Chorus
Magnify the Lord with me,
Come, exalt His name together;
Glorify the Lord with me,
Come, exalt His name forever.

5.
Oh, taste and see that the Lord is good;
Oh, how blessed is He who hides in Him!

6.
Oh, fear the Lord, oh, all you saints,
He’ll give you everything,
He’ll be your everything.

Bridge 1
Let us bless the Lord
Every day and night;
To Him who rescues us
We’ll let our praises rise.

Bridge 2
I sought the Lord and He answered,
I sought the Lord and He answered,
I sought the Lord and He answered me.

Jesus, My Savior! Thou Art Mine

Words: James George Deck
Music: John L. Hatton

1.
Jesus, my Savior! Thou art mine,
The Father’s gift of love divine;
All Thou hast done, and all Thou art,
Are now the portion of my heart.

2.
Poor, feeble, wretched, as I am,
I now can glory in Thy name;
Now cleansed in Thy most precious blood
And made the righteousness of God.

3.
All that Thou hast Thou hast for me,
All my fresh springs are hid in Thee;
In Thee I live; while I confess
I nothing am, yet all possess.

4.
O Savior, teach me to abide
Close sheltered at Thy wounded side,
Each hour receiving “grace on grace,”
Until I see Thee face to face.

Message

“Daniel — a Man of Revelation”

Message given by Rex Beck on September 11, 2022

The king had a dream and insisted that his wise men tell him the dream and its interpretation

Daniel 2:4–5
4 Then the Chaldeans said to the king in Aramaic, “O king, live forever! Tell your servants the dream, and we will show the interpretation.” 5 The king answered and said to the Chaldeans, “The word from me is firm: if you do not make known to me the dream and its interpretation, you shall be torn limb from limb, and your houses shall be laid in ruins.

No wise men could tell the dream to the king

Daniel 2:10–11
10 The Chaldeans answered the king and said, “There is not a man on earth who can meet the king’s demand, for no great and powerful king has asked such a thing of any magician or enchanter or Chaldean. 11 The thing that the king asks is difficult, and no one can show it to the king except the gods, whose dwelling is not with flesh.”

Daniel understood the dream by revelation and then praised God who reveals mysteries

Daniel 2:17–19
17 Then Daniel went to his house and made the matter known to Hananiah, Mishael, and Azariah, his companions, 18 and told them to seek mercy from the God of heaven concerning this mystery, so that Daniel and his companions might not be destroyed with the rest of the wise men of Babylon. 19 Then the mystery was revealed to Daniel in a vision of the night. Then Daniel blessed the God of heaven.

Daniel 2:22
22 he reveals deep and hidden things; he knows what is in the darkness, and the light dwells with him.

Only God can reveal in both Old and New Testaments

Daniel 2:30
30 But as for me, this mystery has been revealed to me, not because of any wisdom that I have more than all the living, but in order that the interpretation may be made known to the king, and that you may know the thoughts of your mind.

Galatians 1:15–16
15 But when he who had set me apart before I was born, and who called me by his grace, 16 was pleased to reveal his Son to me, in order that I might preach him among the Gentiles, I did not immediately consult with anyone;

The dream revealed and its interpretation

Daniel 2:31–35
31 “You saw, O king, and behold, a great image. This image, mighty and of exceeding brightness, stood before you, and its appearance was frightening. 32 The head of this image was of fine gold, its chest and arms of silver, its middle and thighs of bronze, 33 its legs of iron, its feet partly of iron and partly of clay. 34 As you looked, a stone was cut out by no human hand, and it struck the image on its feet of iron and clay, and broke them in pieces. 35 Then the iron, the clay, the bronze, the silver, and the gold, all together were broken in pieces, and became like the chaff of the summer threshing floors; and the wind carried them away, so that not a trace of them could be found. But the stone that struck the image became a great mountain and filled the whole earth.

Human kingdoms and God’s kingdom

Daniel 2:38–45
38 and into whose hand he has given, wherever th`ey dwell, the children of man, the beasts of the field, and the birds of the heavens, making you rule over them all—you are the head of gold. 39 Another kingdom inferior to you shall arise after you, and yet a third kingdom of bronze, which shall rule over all the earth. 40 And there shall be a fourth kingdom, strong as iron, because iron breaks to pieces and shatters all things. And like iron that crushes, it shall break and crush all these. 41 And as you saw the feet and toes, partly of potter’s clay and partly of iron, it shall be a divided kingdom, but some of the firmness of iron shall be in it, just as you saw iron mixed with the soft clay. 42 And as the toes of the feet were partly iron and partly clay, so the kingdom shall be partly strong and partly brittle. 43 As you saw the iron mixed with soft clay, so they will mix with one another in marriage, but they will not hold together, just as iron does not mix with clay.

44 And in the days of those kings the God of heaven will set up a kingdom that shall never be destroyed, nor shall the kingdom be left to another people. It shall break in pieces all these kingdoms and bring them to an end, and it shall stand forever, 45 just as you saw that a stone was cut from a mountain by no human hand, and that it broke in pieces the iron, the bronze, the clay, the silver, and the gold. A great God has made known to the king what shall be after this. The dream is certain, and its interpretation sure.”

Christ is the Stone

Matthew 21:42–44
42 Jesus said to them, “Have you never read in the Scriptures: “ ‘The stone that the builders rejected has become the cornerstone; this was the Lord’s doing, and it is marvelous in our eyes’? 43 Therefore I tell you, the kingdom of God will be taken away from you and given to a people producing its fruits. 44 And the one who falls on this stone will be broken to pieces; and when it falls on anyone, it will crush him.”
