Hymns and Songs

There Is A Fountain

Words: William Cowper
Music: Early American melody

1.
There is a fountain filled with blood
Drawn from Immanuel’s veins;
And sinners, plunged beneath that flood,
Lose all their guilty stains:
Lose all their guilty stains,
Lose all their guilty stains;
And sinners, plunged beneath that flood,
Lose all their guilty stains.

2.
The dying thief rejoiced to see
That fountain in his day;
And there may I, though vile as he,
Wash all my sins away:
Wash all my sins away,
Wash all my sins away;
And there may I, though vile as he,
Wash all my sins away.

3.
Dear dying Lamb, Thy precious blood
Shall never lose its power,
Till all the ransomed ones of God
Be saved, to sin no more:
Be saved, to sin no more,
Be saved, to sin no more;
Till all the ransomed ones of God,
Be saved to sin no more.

4.
E’er since by faith I saw the stream
Thy flowing wounds supply,
Redeeming love has been my theme,
And shall be till I die:
And shall be till I die,
And shall be till I die;
Redeeming love has been my theme,
And shall be till I die.

5.
When this poor lisping, stammering tongue
Lies silent in the grave,
Then in a nobler, sweeter song,
I’ll sing Thy power to save:
I’ll sing Thy power to save,
I’ll sing Thy power to save;
Then in a nobler, sweeter song,
I’ll sing Thy power to save.

Give Me Faith

By: Christopher Joel Brown, London Gatch, Mack Donald Iii Brock, Wade Joye

1.
I need You to soften my heart,
To break me apart;
I need You to open my eyes
To see that You’re shaping my life.

Pre-chorus
All I am
I surrender.

Chorus
Give me faith to trust what You say;
You are good and Your love is great;
I’m broken inside, I give You my life.

2.
I need You to shine in my night,
To be all my light;
I need You to pierce through the dark,
And cleanse every part of me.

Bridge
I may be weak
But Your Spirit’s strong in me;
My flesh may fail,
My God, You never will.

Just As I Am

Words: Charlotte Elliott‎

1.
Just as I am, without one plea,
But that Thy blood was shed for me,
And that Thou bid’st me come to Thee,
O Lamb of God, I come, I come!

2.
Just as I am, and waiting not
To rid my soul of one dark blot;
To Thee, whose blood
Can cleanse each spot,
O Lamb of God, I come, I come!

3.
Just as I am, though tossed about,
With many a conflict, many a doubt,
Fightings within, and fears without,
O Lamb of God, I come, I come!

4.
Just as I am, poor, wretched, blind;
Sight, riches healing of the mind,
Yes, all I need in Thee to find,
O Lamb of God, I come, I come!

5.
Just as I am, Thou wilt receive,
Wilt welcome, pardon, cleanse, relieve,
Because Thy promise I believe;
O Lamb of God, I come, I come!

6.
Just as I am, Thy love unknown
Has broken every barrier down
Now to be Thine, yea, Thine alone;
O Lamb of God, I come, I come!

I Surrender All

Words: Judson W. Van De Venter; Music: W. S. Weeden

1.
All to Jesus I surrender,
All to Him I freely give;
I will ever love and trust Him,
In His presence daily live.

Chorus
I surrender all,
I surrender all.
All to Thee, my blessed Savior,
I surrender all.

2.
All to Jesus I surrender,
Humbly at His feet I bow,
Worldly pleasures all forsaken;
Take me, Jesus, take me now.

3.
All to Jesus I surrender,
Make me, Savior, wholly Thine;
Let me feel Thy Holy Spirit,
Truly know that Thou art mine.

4.
All to Jesus I surrender,
Lord, I give myself to Thee;
Fill me with Thy love and power,
Let Thy blessing fall on me.

5.
All to Jesus I surrender,
Now I feel the sacred flame.
Oh, the joy of full salvation!
Glory, glory to His name!

Cry In My Heart

By: D.J. Wheller, John D. Winter

1.
There’s a cry in my heart
For Your glory to fall,
For Your presence to fill up my senses;
There’s a yearning within,
A thirst for discipline,
A hunger for things that are deeper.

Pre-chorus
Could You take me beyond?
Could You carry me through?
If I opened my heart,
Could I go there with You?

Chorus
For what do I have
If I don’t have You, Jesus?
What in this life
Could mean anymore?
You are my Rock,
You are my glory,
You are the Lifter of my head.

Pre-chorus 2
Could You take me beyond?
Could You carry me through?
If I opened my heart,
Could I go there with You?
For I’ve been here before
But I know there’s still more,
O Lord, I need to know You.

Bridge
I want to know You more,
I want to love You more,
I want to trust You more,
I want to know You more.

Pre-chorus 3
You will take me beyond,
You will carry me through;
When I open my heart,
Lord, I go there with You;
For I’ve been here before,
But I know there’s still more;
O Lord, I need to know You.

Message

“Sin”

Message given by Peter McNaughton on July 17, 2022

Hebrews 9:22
And almost all things are cleansed with blood, according to the Law, and without the shedding of blood there is no forgiveness.

Genesis 4:7-9
7 If you do well, will your face not be cheerful? And if you do not do well, sin is lurking at the door; and its desire is for you, but you must master it.” 8 Cain talked to his brother Abel; and it happened that when they were in the field Cain rose up against his brother Abel and killed him. 9 Then the Lord said to Cain, “Where is Abel your brother?” And he said, “I do not know. Am I my brother’s keeper?”

Romans 7:20-22
20 But if I do the very thing I do not want, I am no longer the one doing it, but sin that dwells in me. 21 I find then the principle that evil is present in me, the one who wants to do good. 22 For I joyfully agree with the law of God in the inner person…

Luke 19:1-8
Jesus entered Jericho and was passing through. 2 And there was a man called by the name of Zaccheus; he was a chief tax collector and he was rich. 3 Zaccheus was trying to see who Jesus was, and he was unable due to the crowd, because he was short in stature. 4 So he ran on ahead and climbed up a sycamore tree in order to see Him, because He was about to pass through that way. 5 And when Jesus came to the place, He looked up and said to him, “Zaccheus, hurry and come down, for today I must stay at your house.” 6 And he hurried and came down, and received Him joyfully. 7 When the people saw this, they all began to complain, saying, “He has gone in to be the guest of a man who is a sinner!” 8 But Zaccheus stopped and said to the Lord, “Behold, Lord, half of my possessions I am giving to the poor, and if I have extorted anything from anyone, I am giving back four times as much.”

Acts 19:18-20
18 Also many of those who had believed kept coming, confessing and disclosing their practices. 19 And many of those who practiced magic brought their books together and began burning them in the sight of everyone; and they added up the prices of the books and found it to be fifty thousand pieces of silver. 20 So the word of the Lord was growing and prevailing mightily.
