‘Tis So Sweet to Trust in Jesus

Words: Louisa M. R. Stead
Music: William J. Kirkpatrick

1.
’Tis so sweet to trust in Jesus,
Just to take Him at His Word;
Just to rest upon His promise,
And to know, “Thus saith the Lord!”

Chorus
Jesus, Jesus, how I trust Him!
How I’ve proved Him o’er and o’er;
Jesus, Jesus, precious Jesus!
Oh, for grace to trust Him more!

2.
Oh, how sweet to trust in Jesus,
Just to trust His cleansing blood;
And in simple faith to plunge me
’Neath the healing, cleansing flood!

3.
Yes, ’tis sweet to trust in Jesus,
Just from sin and self to cease;
Just from Jesus simply taking
Life and rest, and joy and peace.

4.
I’m so glad I learned to trust Thee,
Precious Jesus, Savior, Friend;
And I know that Thou art with me,
Wilt be with me to the end.

Honey In The Rock

Brandon Lake, Brooke Fraser

1.
Praying for a miracle,
Thirsty for the Living Well;
Only You can satisfy.

2.
Sweetness at the mercy seat,
Now I’ve tasted, it’s not hard to see
Only You can satisfy.

Chorus 1
There’s honey in the rock,
Water in the stone,
Manna on the ground,
No matter where I go,
I don’t need to worry
Now that I know
Everything I need, You’ve got;
There’s honey in the rock.

3.
Freedom where the Spirit is,
Bounty in the wilderness;
You will always satisfy.

Chorus 2
There’s honey in the rock,
Water in the stone,
Manna on the ground,
No matter where I go,
I don’t need to worry
Now that I know
Everything I need, You’ve got;
There’s honey in the rock,
Purpose in Your plan,
Power in the blood,
Healing in Your hands,
Started flowing when
You said it is done,
Everything You did’s enough;
There’s honey in the rock.

Bridge
I keep looking, I keep finding,
You keep giving, keep providing,
I have all that I need,
You are all that I need;
I keep praying, You keep moving,
I keep praising, You keep proving,
I have all that I need,
You are all that I need.

4.
Oh, how sweet,
How sweet it is
To trust in You, Jesus.

He’s Always Been Faithful

Thomas O Chisholm, William M. Runyan, Sara Groves

1.
Morning by morning I wake up to find
The power and comfort of God’s hand in mine;
Season by season I watch Him, amazed,
In awe of the mystery of His perfect ways;
All I have need of, His hand will provide,
He’s always been faithful to me.

2.
I can’t remember a trial or a pain
He did not recycle to bring me gain;
I can’t remember one single regret
In serving God only, and trusting His hand;
All I have need of, His hand will provide,
He’s always been faithful to me.

Refrain
Great is thy faithfulness, O God my Father,
There is no shadow of turning with Thee;
Thou changest not, Thy compassions they fail not
As Thou has been Thou forever wilt be.

Chorus
Great is Thy faithfulness!
Great is Thy faithfulness!
Morning by morning new mercies I see;
All I have needed Thy hand hath provided,
Great is Thy faithfulness, Lord unto me!

3.
This is my anthem, this is my song,
The theme of the stories I’ve heard for so long:
God has been faithful, He will be again,
His loving compassion, it knows no end;
All I have need of, His hand will provide,
He’s always been faithful to me.

“Jesus Judges Our Sin”

John 4:13-19
13 Jesus answered and said to her, “Everyone who drinks of this water will be thirsty again; 14 but whoever drinks of the water that I will give him shall never be thirsty; but the water that I will give him will become in him a fountain of water springing up to eternal life.”

15 The woman said to Him, “Sir, give me this water so that I will not be thirsty, nor come all the way here to draw water.” 16 He said to her, “Go, call your husband and come here.” 17 The woman answered and said to Him, “I have no husband.” Jesus said to her, “You have correctly said, ‘I have no husband’; 18 for you have had five husbands, and the one whom you now have is not your husband; this which you have said is true.” 19 The woman said to Him, “Sir, I perceive that You are a prophet.

John 4:28-29
28 So the woman left her waterpot and went into the city, and said to the people, 29 “Come, see a man who told me all the things that I have done; this is not the Christ, is He?”

John 8:1-11
But Jesus went to the Mount of Olives. And early in the morning He came again into the temple area, and all the people were coming to Him; and He sat down and began teaching them.Now the scribes and the Pharisees brought a woman caught in the act of adultery, and after placing her in the center of the courtyard, they said to Him, “Teacher, this woman has been caught in the very act of committing adultery. Now in the Law, Moses commanded us to stone such women; what then do You say?” Now they were saying this to test Him, so that they might have grounds for accusing Him. But Jesus stooped down and with His finger wrote on the ground. When they persisted in asking Him, He straightened up and said to them, “He who is without sin among you, let him be the first to throw a stone at her.” And again He stooped down and wrote on the ground. Now when they heard this, they began leaving, one by one, beginning with the older ones, and He was left alone, and the woman where she was, in the center of the courtyard. 10 And straightening up, Jesus said to her, “Woman, where are they? Did no one condemn you?” 11 She said, “No one, Lord.” And Jesus said, “I do not condemn you, either. Go. From now on do not sin any longer.”

John 8:34-36
34 Jesus answered them, “Truly, truly I say to you, everyone who commits sin is a slave of sin. 35 Now the slave does not remain in the house forever; the son does remain forever. 36 So if the Son sets you free, you really will be free.
