Hymns

Good To Me

By: Josh Malek

Chorus
Lord, You are so good, to me
You are so good to me
The earth, the sky, the sun, the sea
You made this all for me
You’re bigger than the galaxy
Yet You still remember me
Lord, You are so good, to me
You are so good to me

1.
I shall never be in want, You’ve pro__vided everything
You’re everything I need, and the reason that I sing
Who am I to reject, every_thing You made good
What more can I do, but give thanks like I should

2.
When I’m feeling in distress, and I fear I cannot stand
You strengthen me with peace, by Your righteous right hand
Now I focus my mind on the things from above
I’m so filled with joy, when I trust in Your love

3.
There’s a table for me, daily bread and new wine
Your body and Your blood, yes, You gave it all for mine
Now You live inside of me and I have eternal life
Your greatest gift to me, I lift my praises on high

O Breath Of Life

Words: Bessie Porter Head
Music: Mary Jane Hammond

1.
O Breath of Life, come sweeping through us,
Revive Thy Church with life and pow’r;
O Breath of Life, come cleanse, renew us,
And fit Thy Church to meet this hour.

2.
O Wind of God, come bend us, break us,
Till humbly we confess our need;
Then in Thy tenderness remake us,
Revive, restore, for this we plead.

3.
O Breath of Love, come breathe within us,
Renewing thought and will and heart;
Come, Love of Christ, afresh to win us,
Revive Thy Church in every part.

4.
O Heart of Christ, once broken for us,
’Tis there we find our strength and rest;
Our broken, contrite hearts now solace,
And let Thy waiting Church be blest.

5.
Revive us, Lord! Is zeal abating,
While harvest fields are vast and white?
Revive us, Lord, the world is waiting,
Equip Thy Church to spread the light.

Where You Dwell

by: Hannah Bontje

1.
Out of the darkness, into Your light,
You’re evermore shaping our hearts
To love You deeper, to glorify
The One that saved our souls.

2.
Through all our weakness, our trying ways,
Surely You never will fail.
All things are working for Your good will,
Your kingdom come in us.

Chorus
Send out Your truth and light!
Lead us to Your holy hill!
Bring us to the mountain where You dwell,
Where You dwell,
That we may know our God,
That we may know our God.

3.
Give us a faith that is pleasing to You,
A life that is worthy of Your call,
Strengthened with power to live for You,
Our Christ, our all in all.

4.
We praise You God and with thankful hearts
Rejoice with all saints in the light.
We’ve come to Zion lifting Your great Name high!
Sing praise forevermore!

Mark 5:1-18

Jesus Restores a Demon-Possessed Man

They went across the lake to the region of the Gerasenes. When Jesus got out of the boat, a man with an impure spiritcame from the tombs to meet him. This man lived in the tombs, and no one could bind him anymore, not even with a chain. For he had often been chained hand and foot, but he tore the chains apart and broke the irons on his feet. No one was strong enough to subdue him. Night and day among the tombs and in the hills he would cry out and cut himself with stones.

When he saw Jesus from a distance, he ran and fell on his knees in front of him. He shouted at the top of his voice, “What do you want with me, Jesus, Son of the Most High God? In God’s name don’t torture me!” For Jesus had said to him, “Come out of this man, you impure spirit!”

Then Jesus asked him, “What is your name?”

“My name is Legion,” he replied, “for we are many.” 10 And he begged Jesus again and again not to send them out of the area.

11 A large herd of pigs was feeding on the nearby hillside.12 The demons begged Jesus, “Send us among the pigs; allow us to go into them.” 13 He gave them permission, and the impure spirits came out and went into the pigs. The herd, about two thousand in number, rushed down the steep bank into the lake and were drowned.

14 Those tending the pigs ran off and reported this in the town and countryside, and the people went out to see what had happened. 15 When they came to Jesus, they saw the man who had been possessed by the legion of demons, sitting there, dressed and in his right mind; and they were afraid.16 Those who had seen it told the people what had happened to the demon-possessed man—and told about the pigs as well. 17 Then the people began to plead with Jesus to leave their region.

18 As Jesus was getting into the boat, the man who had been demon-possessed begged to go with him.
