Hymns

Yet Not I, But Through Christ in Me

Jonny Robinson, Rich Thompson, Michael Farren

1.
What gift of grace is Jesus my Redeemer;
I once was dead, now life eternal’s mine;
He is my Joy, my Righteousness, and Freedom,
My steadfast Love, my deep and boundless Peace;
To this I hold, my hope is only Jesus,
For my life is wholly found in Him;
Oh how strange and divine, I can sing: all is mine,
Yet not I, but through Christ in me!

2.
The night is dark but I am not forsaken,
In Jesus Christ, my soul on Him is stayed,
I will press on, believing and rejoicing,
Though I am weak, His power is displayed;
To this I hold, my Shepherd – He will carry me,
Through the deepest valley He will lead;
Oh the night has been won, and I shall overcome,
Yet not I, but through Christ in me!

3.
No fate I dread, I know I am forgiven,
Salvation’s sure, the price is fully paid:
For Jesus bled and suffered for my pardon
And He was raised to overthrow the grave;
To this I hold, my sin has been defeated,
Jesus now and ever is my plea;
Oh the chains are released, I can sing: I am free,
Yet not I, but through Christ in me!

4.
With every breath I’ll live for Christ, my Savior,
For His great love constrains me to give all;
And day by day I know He will renew me
Until I reach the goal, His upward call!
To this I hold, my hope is only Jesus,
All the glory evermore to Him,
When the race is complete, still my lips shall repeat:
Yet not I, but through Christ in me!

Just As I Am

Words: Charlotte Elliott
Music: English Folk Melody

1.
Just as I am, without one plea,
But that Thy blood was shed for me,
And that Thou bid’st me come to Thee,
O Lamb of God, I come, I come!

2.
Just as I am, and waiting not
To rid my soul of one dark blot;
To Thee, whose blood
Can cleanse each spot,
O Lamb of God, I come, I come!

3.
Just as I am, though tossed about,
With many a conflict, many a doubt,
Fightings within, and fears without,
O Lamb of God, I come, I come!

4.
Just as I am, poor, wretched, blind;
Sight, riches healing of the mind,
Yes, all I need in Thee to find,
O Lamb of God, I come, I come!

5.
Just as I am, Thou wilt receive,
Wilt welcome, pardon, cleanse, relieve,
Because Thy promise I believe;
O Lamb of God, I come, I come!

6.
Just as I am, Thy love unknown
Has broken every barrier down
Now to be Thine, yea, Thine alone;
O Lamb of God, I come, I come!

Ephesians 3:7-13
7 Of this gospel I was made a minister according to the gift of God’s grace, which was given me by the working of his power. 8 To me, though I am the very least of all the saints, this grace was given, to preach to the Gentiles the unsearchable riches of Christ, 9 and to bring to light for everyone what is the plan of the mystery hidden for ages in God, who created all things, 10 so that through the church the manifold wisdom of God might now be made known to the rulers and authorities in the heavenly places. 11 This was according to the eternal purpose that he has realized in Christ Jesus our Lord, 12 in whom we have boldness and access with confidence through our faith in him. 13 So I ask you not to lose heart over what I am suffering for you, which is your glory.
