Deuteronomy is the most beautifully written book of the Old Testament. It re-tells the history of Israel from their unbelief when they first entered the land through their victories over the giants to their current place right before they enter the land.
Deuteronomy describes the good land, with its water, minerals, and fruitful fields, and prescribes the Israelites find one place where God set his name to offer sacrifices. It reviews the feasts and the laws and the sacrifices. And it shows Moses’ death and Joshua’s ascension as leader of the people as they enter the land.
