People often find themselves feeling anxious, blind, broken, hungry, and suffering. Even when people know that something is wrong, they do not know what to do about it. Only a miracle can make a person whole.
“As the mountains surround Jerusalem, so the Lord surrounds his people,” (Psalm 125:2 NIV). About a thousand years after the Psalmist wrote these words, Jesus healed people suffering with many different disabilities and miraculously fed the entire crowd, well over 4,000 people. It all happened in a remote place on one of those mountains.
Jesus still heals and feeds, and he uses us to do it. He knows how to use the little bit we have, not even enough for ourselves, to supply us and everyone around us with more than we need.
