Hymns

Where You Dwell

By: Hannah Bontje

1.
Out of the darkness, into Your light,
You’re evermore shaping our hearts
To love You deeper, to glorify
The One that saved our souls.

2.
Through all our weakness, our trying ways,
Surely You never will fail.
All things are working for Your good will,
Your kingdom come in us.

Chorus
Send out Your truth and light!
Lead us to Your holy hill!
Bring us to the mountain where You dwell,
Where You dwell,
That we may know our God,
That we may know our God.

3.
Give us a faith that is pleasing to You,
A life that is worthy of Your call,
Strengthened with power to live for You,
Our Christ, our all in all.

4.
We praise You God and with thankful hearts
Rejoice with all saints in the light.
We’ve come to Zion lifting Your great Name high!
Sing praise forevermore!

He Giveth More Grace

Words: Annie Johnson Flint

1.
He giveth more grace
When the burdens grow greater,
He sendeth more strength
When the labors increase,
To added affliction
He added His mercy
To multiplied trials,
His multiplied peace.

Chorus
His love has no limit,
His grace has no measure,
His power, no boundary,
Known unto men
For out of His infinite
Riches in Jesus,
He giveth, and giveth,
And giveth again.

2.
When we have exhausted
our store of endurance,
When our strength has failed
Ere the day is half-done
When we reach the end
Of our hoarded resources
Our Father’s full giving
Is only begun.

O Jesus Christ, Grow Thou In Me

Words: Johann Casper Lavater
Music: Ada Rose Gibbs

1.
O Jesus Christ, grow Thou in me,
And all things else recede;
My heart be daily nearer Thee,
From sin be daily freed.

Chorus
Each day let Thy supporting might
My weakness still embrace;
My darkness vanish in Thy light,
Thy life my death efface.

2.
In Thy bright beams which on me fall,
Fade every evil thought;
That I am nothing, Thou art all,
I would be daily taught.

3.
More of Thy glory let me see,
Thou Holy, Wise, and True;
I would Thy living image be,
In joy and sorrow too.

4.
Fill me with gladness from above,
Hold me by strength divine;
Lord, let the glow of Thy great love
Through all my being shine.

5.
Make this poor self
Grow less and less,
Be Thou my life and aim;
Oh, make me daily through Thy grace
More meet to bear Thy name.

“Christ, the Sin Offering”

Message given by Daniel Schmitkons on July 24, 2022

Romans 3:23, 26
23 for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God … 26 for the demonstration, that is, of His righteousness at the present time, so that He would be just and the justifier of the one who has faith in Jesus.

Leviticus 17:11
11 For the life of the flesh is in the blood, and I have given it to you on the altar to make atonement for your souls; for it is the blood by reason of the life that makes atonement.

Hebrews 9:22
22 And almost all things are cleansed with blood, according to the Law, and without the shedding of blood there is no forgiveness.

Hebrews 13:11-12
11 For the bodies of those animals whose blood is brought into the Holy Place by the high priest as an offering for sin are burned outside the camp. 12 Therefore Jesus also suffered outside the gate, that He might sanctify the people through His own blood.

Hebrews 10:1-2
1 For the Law, since it has only a shadow of the good things to come and not the form of those things itself, can never, by the same sacrifices which they offer continually every year, make those who approach perfect. 2 Otherwise, would they not have ceased to be offered, because the worshipers, having once been cleansed, would no longer have had consciousness of sins?

Romans 8:3
3 For what the Law could not do, weak as it was through the flesh, God did: sending His own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh and as an offering for sin, He condemned sin in the flesh…

Hebrews 10:11-12
11 Every priest stands daily ministering and offering time after time the same sacrifices, which can never take away sins; 12 but He, having offered one sacrifice for sins for all time, sat down at the right hand of God…
