Hymns
The King Of Love My Shepherd Is
Words: Henry Baker
Music: John Bacchus Dykes
This week’s hymn is “The King of Love My Shepherd Is” by Henry Baker. This refreshing hymn is based on Psalm 23. I invite you to also read through that Psalm before singing the song. The hymn touches many aspects of what a good and wonderful Shepherd that Jesus Christ is. We all were like sheep that had gone astray, turning aside to our own ways (Isaiah 53:6), but the Good Shepherd laid down His life for us (John 10:11) and sought us to bring us back home (Luke 15:4-7). Praise the Lord for His goodness and love that never fails!
In Christ, we have all that we need. He feeds and supplies us. He walks with us even in the darkest valleys. Jesus leads us and protects us. He fills our cup until it overflows. We may rejoice in His goodness and mercy that will follow us all our days. As we dwell together with Him in His house, may we join the hymn-writer and sing our Good Shepherd’s praise forever and ever.
I hope that we may have such a sweet enjoyment of our Shepherd feeding us and caring for us this week.

1.
The King of love my Shepherd is,
Whose goodness faileth never;
I nothing lack if I am His
And He is mine forever.
2.
Where streams of living water flow
My ransomed soul He leadeth,
And where the verdant pastures grow
With food celestial feedeth.
3.
Perverse and foolish oft I strayed,
But yet in love He sought me,
And on His shoulder gently laid,
And home, rejoicing, brought me.
4.
In death’s dark vale I fear no ill
With Thee, dear Lord, beside me;
Thy rod and staff my comfort still,
Thy cross before to guide me.
5.
Thou spread’st a table in my sight;
Thy unction, grace bestoweth:
And O what transport of delight
From Thy pure chalice floweth!
6.
And so through all the length of days
Thy goodness faileth never;
Good Shepherd, may I sing Thy praise
Within Thy house forever.
We Are Hungry
Words and Music: Brad Kilman
Jesus Christ is so wonderful, so bountiful. As much as we lack, as weak and unworthy as we are, we can partake of “the [superabundant] supply of the Spirit of Jesus Christ” (Phil. 1:19, AMP) to meet all our need. Jesus tells us, “I am the bread of life, and He who comes to Me shall never hunger, and he who believes in Me shall never thirst” (John 6:35, NKJV). Outside of Christ, we realize that everything else runs dry: our resolutions only last so long, our strength runs out, our store of endurance so quickly fails. But we can come again and again to Him with hearts full of assurance that His word is still true, that He will feed us with the bread of life to satisfy all our hunger and take care of all our need. Let’s sing this song together and tell the Lord that we need more of Him, trusting in Him to be faithful to His word. “Lord, we need You as the bread of life! Lord, we need You as that Living Water to quench all our thirst today! Lord Jesus, come and fill us up! Lord, You are all that we need!”
— Ian K
1.
Lord, I want more of You,
Living Water, rain down on me;
Lord, I need more of You,
Living Breath of life, come and fill me up.
Chorus
We are hungry,
We are hungry,
We are hungry for more of You;
We are thirsty, Oh Jesus,
We are thirsty for more of You.
Bridge
We lift our holy hands up,
We want to touch You;
We lift our voices higher,
And higher and higher to You.
Blessed Assurance
For The Lord’s Table Meeting
Words: Fanny Jane Crosby
Music: Phoebe Palmer Knapp
1.
Blessed assurance, Jesus is mine;
Oh, what a foretaste of glory divine!
Heir of salvation, purchase of God,
Born of His Spirit, washed in His blood.
Chorus
This is my story, this is my song,
Praising my Savior all the day long.
This is my story, this is my song,
Praising my Savior all the day long.
2.
Perfect submission, perfect delight,
Visions of rapture now burst on my sight;
Angels descending, bring from above
Echoes of mercy, whispers of love.
3.
Perfect submission, all is at rest,
I in my Savior am happy and blest;
Watching and waiting, looking above,
Filled with His goodness, lost in His love.

“Manna – Part 2”
Message given by Rex Beck for June 7, 2020
John 6:30-35, 48-57
30So they said to Him, “What then do You do for a sign, so that we may see, and believe You? What work do You perform? 31“Our fathers ate the manna in the wilderness; as it is written, ‘He gave them bread out of heaven to eat.’ ” 32Jesus then said to them, “Truly, truly, I say to you, it is not Moses who has given you the bread out of heaven, but it is My Father who gives you the true bread out of heaven. 33“For the bread of God is that which comes down out of heaven, and gives life to the world.” 34 Then they said to Him, “Lord, always give us this bread.”
35Jesus said to them, “I am the bread of life; he who comes to Me will not hunger, and he who believes in Me will never thirst.
…
48“I am the bread of life. 49“Your fathers ate the manna in the wilderness, and they died. 50“This is the bread which comes down out of heaven, so that one may eat of it and not die. 51“I am the living bread that came down out of heaven; if anyone eats of this bread, he will live forever; and the bread also which I will give for the life of the world is My flesh.”
52Then the Jews began to argue with one another, saying, “How can this man give us His flesh to eat?” 53So Jesus said to them, “Truly, truly, I say to you, unless you eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink His blood, you have no life in yourselves. 54“He who eats My flesh and drinks My blood has eternal life, and I will raise him up on the last day. 55“For My flesh is true food, and My blood is true drink. 56“He who eats My flesh and drinks My blood abides in Me, and I in him. 57“As the living Father sent Me, and I live because of the Father, so he who eats Me, he also will live because of Me.
Exodus 16:16-18
16“This is what the Lord has commanded, ‘Gather of it every man as much as he should eat; you shall take an omer apiece according to the number of persons each of you has in his tent.’ ” 17The sons of Israel did so, and some gathered much and some little. 18When they measured it with an omer, he who had gathered much had no excess, and he who had gathered little had no lack; every man gathered as much as he should eat.

As shared “church is an organic entity, fed by the true food, offered by the Lord because of His death, and enjoy as all the members do their part, collecting, gathering, putting it together, so that every member can be fed. Praise the Lord for the true food, true drink, causes us to live in HIM and abide in HIM.”
Amen Lord Jesus!
