This Sunday’s message picks up where we left of last week on a “Christian Life Together.” Join us at 11 a.m. on Sunday at the India Community Center. Here are the verses we will cover:
9 Two are better than one,
because they have a good return for their labor:10 If either of them falls down,
one can help the other up.
But pity anyone who falls
and has no one to help them up.11 Also, if two lie down together, they will keep warm.
But how can one keep warm alone?12 Though one may be overpowered,
two can defend themselves.
A cord of three strands is not quickly broken.
Do not be misled: “Bad company corrupts good character.”
1 Corinthians 15:33 NIV (Paul is quoting the Greek poet Menander.)
20 In a large house there are articles not only of gold and silver, but also of wood and clay; some are for special purposes and some for common use. 21 Those who cleanse themselves from the latter will be instruments for special purposes, made holy, useful to the Master and prepared to do any good work.
22 Flee the evil desires of youth and pursue righteousness, faith, love and peace, along with those who call on the Lord out of a pure heart.
4 I always thank my God as I remember you in my prayers, 5 because I hear about your love for all his holy people and your faith in the Lord Jesus. 6 I pray that your partnership with us in the faith may be effective in deepening your understanding of every good thing we share for the sake of Christ.
23 Let us hold unswervingly to the hope we profess, for he who promised is faithful. 24 And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds, 25 not giving up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging one another—and all the more as you see the Day approaching.
