Build Your Kingdom Here

Chris Llewellyn, Gareth Gilkeson, Will Herron

1.
Come set Your rule and reign
In our hearts again,
Increase in us we pray,
Unveil why we’re made;
Come set our hearts ablaze with hope,
Like wildfire in our very souls;
Holy Spirit, come invade us now;
We are Your church;
We need Your power in us.

2.
We seek Your kingdom first,
We hunger and we thirst,
Refuse to waste our lives,
For You’re our joy and prize;
To see the captive hearts released,
The hurt, the sick, the poor, at peace;
We lay down our lives for Heaven’s cause;
We are Your church;
We pray revive this earth.

Chorus
Build Your kingdom here,
Let the darkness fear;
Call us into light,
Save us with Your might;
Set the Cornerstone,
In our hearts alone;
Let Your saints draw near,
Build Your kingdom here, we pray!

3.
Unleash Your kingdom’s power,
Reaching the near and far,
No force of hell can stop
Your beauty changing hearts;
You made us for much more than this,
Awake the kingdom seed in us,
Fill us with the strength and love of Christ;
We are Your church;
We are the hope on earth.

Resurrecting

Steven Furtick, Christopher Joel Brown, Mack Donald Iii Brock, Wade Joye, Matthews Thabo Ntlele

1.
The Head that once was crowned with thorns
Is crowned with glory now;
The Savior knelt to wash our feet,
Now at His feet we bow.

2.
The One who wore our sin and shame
Is robed in majesty;
The radiance of perfect love
Now shines for all to see.

Chorus
Oh Christ, Your Cross
Is victory;
All praise will rise
To Christ our King. (x2)

3.
The fear that held us now gives way
To Him who is our peace;
And “It is finished!” was His cry,
From death comes victory.

Bridge
In Your Spirit I’m alive
And now You’re alive in me,
The resurrected King
Is resurrecting me;
Lord, Your Spirit gives me life,
Now from sin and death I’m free;
The resurrected King
Is resurrecting me.

4.
The tomb where soldiers watched in vain
Was borrowed for three days;
His body there would not remain,
He walked out from that grave;
He walked out from that grave!

He Giveth More Grace

Words: Annie Johnson Flint

1) He giveth more grace
When the burdens grow greater,
He sendeth more strength
When the labors increase,
To added affliction
He added His mercy
To multiplied trials,
He multiplies peace.

Chorus
His love has no limit,
His grace has no measure,
His power, no boundary,
Known unto men
For out of His infinite
Riches in Jesus,
He giveth, and giveth,
And giveth again.

2.
Fear not that they need
shall exceed His provision
Our God ever yearns
His resources to share
Lean hard on the arm
everlasting availing
The Father both Thee
and Thy load will upbear

3.
When we have exhausted
our store of endurance,
When our strength has failed
Ere the day is half-done
When we reach the end
Of our hoarded resources
Our Father’s full giving
Is only begun.

“Daniel (Part III) — Being a Person Full of Divine Light”

Message given by Rex Beck on September 25, 2022

As a man full of light Daniel interpreted the writing on the wall

Belshazzar held a debauched feast using the vessels of the temple from Jerusalem

Daniel 5:1–2
1Belshazzar the king held a great feast for a thousand of his nobles, and he was drinking wine in the presence of the thousand. 2When Belshazzar tasted the wine, he gave orders to bring the gold and silver vessels which Nebuchadnezzar his father had taken out of the temple which was in Jerusalem, so that the king and his nobles, his wives and his concubines might drink from them.

Daniel 5:5
Suddenly the fingers of a man’s hand emerged and began writing opposite the lampstand on the plaster of the wall of the king’s palace, and the king saw the back of the hand that did the writing.

The wise men could not read the writing

Daniel 5:8
Then all the king’s wise men came in, but they could not read the inscription or make known its interpretation to the king.

Daniel, one of the exiles from Judah has great illumination

Daniel 5:13–14
13Then Daniel was brought in before the king. The king spoke and said to Daniel, “Are you that Daniel who is one of the exiles from Judah, whom my father the king brought from Judah? 14“Now I have heard about you that a spirit of the gods is in you, and that illumination, insight and extraordinary wisdom have been found in you.

Daniel discerns the king’s actions and interprets the writings

Daniel 5:23
but you have exalted yourself against the Lord of heaven; and they have brought the vessels of His house before you, and you and your nobles, your wives and your concubines have been drinking wine from them; and you have praised the gods of silver and gold, of bronze, iron, wood and stone, which do not see, hear or understand. But the God in whose hand are your life-breath and all your ways, you have not glorified.

Daniel 5:25–28
25“Now this is the inscription that was written out: ‘MENĒ, MENĒ, TEKĒL, UPHARSIN.’ 26“This is the interpretation of the message: ‘MENĒ’—God has numbered your kingdom and put an end to it. 27“ ‘TEKĒL’—you have been weighed on the scales and found deficient. 28“ ‘PERĒS’—your kingdom has been divided and given over to the Medes and Persians.”

Daniel’s interpretation is fulfilled

Daniel 5:14
Now I have heard about you that a spirit of the gods is in you, and that illumination, insight and extraordinary wisdom have been found in you.

New Testament examples

John 8:12
Then Jesus again spoke to them, saying, “I am the Light of the world; he who follows Me will not walk in the darkness, but will have the Light of life.”

1 John 1:5
This is the message we have heard from Him and announce to you, that God is Light, and in Him there is no darkness at all.

2 Corinthians 4:6
For God, who said, “Light shall shine out of darkness,” is the One who has shone in our hearts to give the Light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Christ.

1 John 1:7
… but if we walk in the Light as He Himself is in the Light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus His Son cleanses us from all sin.

Ephesians 5:14
For this reason it says, “Awake, sleeper, And arise from the dead, And Christ will shine on you.”

Matthew 6:22
The eye is the lamp of the body; so then if your eye is clear, your whole body will be full of light.
